Description:
AMARYLL is Tramadol HCl, a centrally acting synthetic opioid analgesic. Although its mode of action is not completely understood, at least two complementary mechanisms appear: binding of parent and M1 metabolite to m-opioid receptors and weak inhibition of reuptake of norepinephrine and serotonin. It is claimed to produce analgesia by two mechanisms: an opioid effect and enhancement of serotoninergic and adrenergic pathways. It is reported to have fewer typical opioid side effects (notably respiratory depression and constipation). It also has less addiction potential. It is used for the treatment and prevention of moderate to severe pain. Amaryll is not as effective in severe pain as other opioid analgesics. Supplied in 2 mL Solution for Injection in clear glass vial of 1’s; Box of 10’s.
