Description:
ANDIOGAN is Domperidone, a dopamine agonist with antiemetic properties similar to those of metoclopramide. Antiemetic effect maybe due to combination of peripheral effects and antagonism of dopamine receptors in the chemorceptor trigger zone, which lies outside the blood brain barrier in the postrema area. Domperidone increases the duration of antral and duodenal contractions, gastric emptying of liquids and solids and lower esophageal sphincter pressure.
