About Eurogenerics

Euro Generics International Philippines Inc. (EGIP) was established in 1996 as an importer and distributor of pharmaceutical products in the Philippines. EGIP is a Filipino corporation with the central purpose and vision to provide quality generics at affordable prices to the people of the Philippines. EGIP is specialized in medicine that needs a prescription from a licensed physician. In the past decade EGIP has registered more than almost a hundred products with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), many of them are now well accepted in the Philippine market. The products are being distributed through a nation wide network that includes 12 reputable marketing and distribution companies with principle offices in Manila and Cebu and one major distributing company (Metro Drug). Some of the company’s major brands (Provasc, Galemin, Cetriz, Cetamid, Kenzar, Cardipres, Euglotab, Tenorvas) are available in the country’s leading drug chain (Mercury). In the coming years EGIP will continue development of quality generic drugs in selected areas of medicine where there is greater need in order to continue and further improve its service to the Philippine people.

MISSION

EGIP aims to become a leading pharmaceutical company specializing in the development of high-class pharmaceutical products tailor made towards the needs of its customers and markets. To achieve this EGIP is

COMMITTED TO:

Be innovative and creative in product selection and development
Be excellent in maintaining the highest professional levels
Be pro-active in recognizing future trends within the industry
Be inspirational for its people who are the core of the company
Be loyal to its key of success: to provide quality medicine at affordable prices

 VISION

EGIP perceives the pharmaceutical industry within the context of an increasingly changing field of social and economic interactions. In this climate, the company realizes its future depends on the right decisions towards the opportunities based on the changing needs of society.

 COMPANY BACK GROUND

EGIP is a private enterprise on the initiative of Dr. Bert van Dierendonck, a Dutch national, who is a permanent resident of the Philippines since 1982. Dr. Bert worked many years as physician in some remote parts of the country, where he learned much about health and medicine in the Philippines. His company Euro Generics is a continuation of his endeavors to provide affordable medicine to the Philippine people. Part of his vision for a strong and successful company was: 1. Sign contracts with state of the art manufacturing companies to ensure 100% quality of products, 2. Establish sound logistics and finance to ensure speedy and reliable delivery of goods 3. Always give priority to the company’s staff. The company’s present success can be contributed to a professional staff, which is highly motivated and dedicated to the company’s vision.

MARKETS AND DISTRIBUTION CHANNELS

Primary markets for EGIP’s products are the establishments and outlets for the sale of pharmaceutical products with the support of the medical profession. These include hospitals, medical clinics, drugstores, etc. Professional networks of 12 major marketers/distributors are actively promoting and selling EGIP’s products on a nation wide scale. Among them are:

  • AXCESS PHARMA
  • BELL KENZ PHARMA INC.
  • Remed Pharmaceuticals
  • Marzan Pharma Corp
  • Beracah Pharma
  • Sea Pharma Options Inc
  • Lynnmed Corporation
  • Metro Pharma

  • Wellness AG Inc.
  • Better Option Pharmaceuticals
  • Maxipharm Co., Ltd.

  • MEEDPHARMA MEDICAL SUPPLIES & EQUIPMENT DISTRIBUTOR

There are on average 600 medical representatives and independent sub distributors involved and in regular direct contact with the medical profession. A major single distributor (Metro Drug) is instrumental for the supply of Mercury Drug Stores nation wide with EGIP’s products. A professional in-house team of medical representatives is trained in directly detailing a range of specially selected products with the medical profession.

COMPETITION

It is generally perceived that competition is growing rapidly in the field of generic medicine. A growing number of companies are added every year to the pharmaceutical industry. Many identical new brands are entering the market as soon as a patent expires. This results in price erosion especially on the level of the importer. With a full range of services and a competitive price, EGIP maintains its position as a strong player in the industry.

 PRODUCTS AND SERVICES

It has been EGIP’s policy from the start to look into the niche markets of high priced medicine with few competitors and relatively large markets. Here EGIP could make a change and offer lower priced medicine without compromising on quality. EGIP’s sources at present are all high-class companies

  • ACME Laboratories
  • RENATA
  • BEXIMCO
  • GLAND Pharma
  • INTERBAT
  • Beacon Pharmaceuticals Limited
  • GL Corporation
  • Healthcare Pharmaceuticals LTD.
  • Troikaa Pharmaceuticals Limited

All EGIP products belong to the category of branded generic medicine on prescription by a licensed physician. The successful introduction and continuous marketing of many EGIP brands, like CETAMID, PROVASC, ZENOLEN, CARDIPRES, MAXEFTIN, CETRIZ, QUINORYL, GALEMIN, SENTIONYL, KENZAR, AFUNGINAL, ULCERGO, ANDIOGAN, and GUAMIL has contributed to the company’s spectacular growth in the past few years. With the recent introduction of a new sales team and the application of an innovative marketing formula, EGIP aims to consolidate and improve its positive results. EGIP will also be opening its veterinary line of products into the Philippine.
